Another PBA Tour stop is heading to Illinois, and the storylines are already building. The PBA Illinois Classic returns to Decatur after a memorable edition last season.
Last year, Santtu Tahvanainen captured his first PBA Tour title here. Now the question is simple – who steps up this time?
The tournament is hosted at David Small's Victory Lanes, a venue known for producing tough, honest competition. With a maximum field of 96 players, every spot is earned and every game carries weight.
The event is open to full PBA members, with collegiate bowlers also able to enter through the PTQ process. Top-ranked players, past champions, and Hall of Famers receive priority entry, while others must fight their way in.
The main event is bowled on the Salvino 43 pattern, while PTQ competitors face the Scorpion pattern.
Strong fields, challenging conditions, and a proven championship venue make this stop a real test.
Illinois delivered a breakthrough moment last year – and another one could be waiting.
