About the Tournament
The PBA World Series of Bowling XVI (WSOB XVI) is one of the most prestigious and challenging events in professional bowling. Held from March 3-22, 2025, at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno, NV, this tournament features multiple PBA title events, culminating in the PBA World Championship - PBA major title.
Tournament Format:
Four Championship Events:
- 🦂 Scorpion Championship (44-ft oil pattern)
- 🐍 Viper Championship (38-ft oil pattern)
- 🦎 Chameleon Championship (41-ft oil pattern)
- 🦈 Shark Championship (47-ft oil pattern)
Each event consists of 12 qualifying games, followed by elimination match play.
PBA World Championship:
- Determined by total pinfall from all four animal pattern events (48 total games).
- The top fourth of the field advances to advancer rounds on the 43-ft Earl Anthony oil pattern.
- The top 5 players after 80 total games compete in a stepladder finals, aired live on FOX.
