About the Tournament

The iconic True Amateur Tournaments (TAT), known as the most successful amateur bowling event in the United States, is finally coming to Europe. From August 3 to 9, 2026, the TAT European Amateur Classic will take place at Dream-Bowl Palace in Munich, Germany, bringing the excitement and energy of Las Vegas to one of Europe’s premier bowling venues.

With a massive €400,000 prize pool and five carefully structured handicap divisions, this event is designed to give every bowler a fair shot—no matter their average. The five divisions include: 205+ (handicap based on 80% of 220, max 12 pins), 185–204 (max 28 pins), 175–184 (max 36 pins), 174 and under (max 55 pins), and a 50+ Senior Division (max 24 pins). Whether you're a high-average competitor or just starting to build your tournament experience, there's a division tailored for you.

The highlight of the event is the TAT Main Finals, held on Saturday, August 9. One in eight bowlers from each division will qualify for the finals, earning a minimum payout of €500. Prize money increases by at least €200 with each advancing round. Bowlers face off one game at a time against others in their division, all on the same pair of lanes. As the field narrows, competition intensifies. In the round before the final five, one bowler per division emerges to compete for the ultimate title and a €25,000 top prize. All five division champions bowl one final game together, with scores determining the final placements.

Additional incentives allow a second finalist per division with six more entries, increasing the chances for every participant. The tournament format rewards consistency, mental toughness, and adaptability—qualities every amateur strives to master.

The TAT European Amateur Classic is more than a tournament. It’s a milestone for amateur bowling in Europe. Held in the vibrant city of Munich, known for its culture, history, and world-class hospitality, this event offers an unparalleled experience for bowlers and spectators alike.
