The Turkish Bowling Open 2025 will take place from October 8 to 12 at the Bowling Academy Bowling Centre in Samsun, Turkey. With a total prize fund of €9,000 and a winner's share of €1,250, the tournament is expected to draw strong competition from across the region.
Held in the scenic coastal city of Samsun on the Black Sea, the Turkish Bowling Open offers players not only a competitive challenge but also a warm and welcoming atmosphere at one of the country’s top bowling centers. As one of the key events in the Turkish bowling calendar, the tournament promises a high-quality sporting experience.
The event will feature 12 qualification squads of 6 games, with additional squads added if entries are fully booked. A total of 32 athletes will advance to the final rounds: 26 from the general qualification standings, 4 from Turbo competitions (2 from Turbo 5 and 2 from Turbo 6), and 2 from the Desperado squad. Each athlete may only qualify through one route, and if a player qualifies through multiple categories, the next available spot in the unused category is awarded to the next eligible athlete.
Finals will be played in four steps:
Final Step 1 features 24 players competing in 3 games from scratch. The top 16 will move forward, while those ranked 17-24 will be placed 25th to 32nd.
In Final Step 2, 24 athletes (the top 8 from qualification and 16 from Step 1) will bowl 3 games from scratch. The top 12 will advance, with those finishing 13th to 24th ranked accordingly.
Final Step 3 will see the remaining 12 bowlers play 3 games, carrying 50% of their Step 2 score forward. The top 4 advance, and positions 5 through 12 will be ranked based on Step 3 standings.
Final Step 4 is a knockout format. Four players bowl one game, and the lowest scorer is eliminated. Three players bowl another game, with the lowest scorer placed third. The last two players then face off on a fresh pair of lanes for the title of 2025 Turkish Bowling Open Champion.
